Windmill

Along with the headspin, the windmill is one of the most definitive moves of the bboy dance style. Reportedly invented by way of accident by Bboy Crazy Legs of Rock Steady Crew, there's a bit of controversy from others who claim to have created it while others still claim the move existed in other forms from eastern martial arts to African dance. There's obvious influence from those earlier forms. Meanwhile when starting from a set of core movements, it does sometimes happen that people come up with very similar moves. Whatever the case, the move is a foundation on which countless breaking moves and transitions are based.
