The style that sprung out of and defined the dance part of hip-hop culture in the 70s going into the 80s, B-boying gained massive popularity through movies like Breakin' and Beat Street. After the trendiness of the style faded, it went back underground and evolved with other facets of hip-hop culture. It slowly made a resurgence over the next few decades.
